Set in Rhodesia 1976, this coming-of-age story delivers twisted romantic adventure. Overnight, sixteen-year-old Sandra Robertson finds herself alone in a hostile land where her education is terminated. Friends rally and send her to live with her grandmother. A true survivor with ambition, Sandy has little experience but manages to secure work.

Hotel employment not only provides food and accommodation, but it also happens to provide education of a different sort. Sandy’s head spins from chivalry to curtness and from bedlam to bedrooms in a series of dodgy encounters. Other messed-up women try to intervene but to no avail. Only one person can save her, but will he try?

Her writing draws from a wealth of life experiences gathered from meeting an array of fascinating people.

Rosh is a puppeteer by trade, and just like how she brings her puppets to life, she does so with voicing her characters. With a beautifully light voice, Rosh brings everything to the table. She can nail any accent, and gets invested in your book like no one else.
