Daniel Sebata was born in Gwanda, Zimbabwe. He trained as a secondary school teacher at Gweru Teachers’ College and taught for ten years at Lobengula Secondary School in Bulawayo, before relocating to the United Kingdom in 1998. In the UK he graduated with a Diploma of Higher Education in Mental Health Nursing from Middlesex University, London, in 2002 and with a BSc (Hons) from Bournemouth University, in 2005. He lives with his family in Bournemouth, Dorset, UK and makes frequent visits to his daughter who is studying in South Dakota, USA.
